My journey
a neverending path
in a sky vast with stars.

This will not be my final entry as my learning will continue and so will my blog. Thank you so much Donna for giving me the opportunity to view the world of technology that is moving at a great speed. Mind you I have taught my teenage boys a thing or two and left my husband in the dust(apart from his youtube hangup). I have had so many wonderful experiences and hope I will remember them when I need them. Flickr is an awesome site and I am daily downloading our albums to this , more so for backup however it is so nice to have them wherever I go. I also enjoyed the generator blog and the library thing and...yes I am hooked on youtube too.
I would most definitely be a goer for more techno learning!!
Thank you for opening up my eyes Donna :-)

Free audio books
Podcasts
I had a little play around with all the sites and finally ended at Podcast.net and found a brilliant and relevant 50 minute :-( podcast . It was by the SIRSIDYNIX Institute and was labelled 25 Technologies in 50 minutes. It discussed RSS feeds linked from the library's web page, storing knowledge from retired librarians on a Library Wiki, library blogs being used as a way to have a two way communication with the community.....as so on, everything we are learning about.
I thought this was a great feed so have added it to my net vibes page.

We Luv you YOUTUBE
Well this was the best yet, reliving my childhood!.My husband was the first to discover youtube and is always on it listening to all that old rock stuff oldies listen too!! We always complained about him using all our broadband until we (me and my other rivals) discovered all our stuff on there too. I thought it only played music...d'oh !! So now the competition is hot and the broadband limit now increased we all enjoy our favourites..time permitting

Wikis, Zoho,and others.....
We love Wikipedia at our place, it is a "favourite" for all homework projects. I personally would probably not edit on this site but on a library site this could be a very informative way of updating any changes we make in the library that could affect students.
My son Devon loves the Zoho site (he will never use boring old Word again). He has just completed his entire project on New Caledonia using all the bells and whistles of zoho Actually, I loved it too, with these types of free sites around , I think Microsoft will have competition at long last. We (Devon & I) also ventured into Yahoo answers, clipmarks....I found clipmarks so easy to understand and he had fun exploring too.

del.icio.us/ part2
Today Donna highlighted several good points with having a del.icio.us account. I have saved my favourites to my account and then added this account to my netvibes page and VOILA ...,I have my favourites with me all the time , regardless of which computer I am logged into. I can now see the benefits....netvibes is one big parcel with lots of little parcels inside (sounds weird but I understand the logic LOL:-)
